Emergence

Updated: Jun 28

This mini photo/poem/blog was created as a brief reflection not long after The Eroles Project, an arts and activism residency that took place in Catalunya, Spain, this Summer.

emergence

a

blog

about

let’s see…

what emerges…

experiment and play

laugh and cajole

the Fool’s journey…

Once upon a time

in story land

on the top of a mountain

lightning flashes

exposing bare bodies;

poetry desperate to be written and spoken

pouring out of pages.

Bright young eyes

yet

innocent wisdom

–a Rose.

It’s the beauty of

new friendships,

for life

…to Life!

We are different

so,

how to proceed?

Co-create

cook

clean

and yet

we e m e r r r r g e

with a common theme –

care for

Our Mother

Our Planet

Our Selves

as each Other.

Nurturing and supporting

holding in hugs and ears

when one is

down.

Others-

DJ or mend

sing or sleep

or slide bow along violin string

spontaneously creating bursts of magic for

new comers –

tramping from Tremp…

“follow the yellow string!”

We call out…

What’s Your Name?

echoing

across

the Mountain.

*

Casita de Colores, unearthing

cobwebbed crannies

and a green square solar radio that hasn’t

been wound

for years.

Also,

dinosaur feet in the land and fennel

splayed across the garden wall.

Water.

Collecting.

In showers

and sink in

big

pink

buckets.

Use

less.

Sometimes feel so use-less.

*

And so it was

…Doeshka was born! (who?)

I am compost-eating alter

ego

woman

– provoking and prodding –

but mostly

Playing!  Praying

laughter sh-sh-shaking throughout the casita!

Giving r i i i se to experimention

of documentation.

Aaron sings happy birthday as Marilyn

-a soft opening

over

Time

through all of our hearts.

*

Will we meet in Paris?

Some yes,

some no

but I know

we are Enough.

because,

we are making action.

Together

in our inter-

actions

connecting hearts

and minds

across

cultures

and even

Oceans.

We try not to judge

our differences

and learn from

our stories

in the mirror.

*

Meditation mornings

give rise

to

stillness.

And onwards,

slowly

onwards,

we go.
